Tip #1 - Free E-mail - If you do not have an e-mail account outside of your ISP (Internet Service Provider) or your business, you should really consider getting one. You will change ISP's or jobs but these accounts are for a lifetime. They are free, private and you can have as many accounts as you want.
Tip #2 - Virus Protection - If you do not have virus protection, you are at great risk of loosing everything on your system. Some viruses will shut down your system completely. Unfortunately, the virus problem is getting worse. We are entering the age of smarter jerks.
Tip #3 - Back-up Your System - If you have anything of value on your system (hard drive) you really need to back it up. There is an old saying in the computer industry "It is not a question of IF your hard drive will fail, it is a question of WHEN".
